101 Suggested Uses for the Essential 7 Kit

Obligatory Disclaimer: The information in this handout is intended for educational purposes only. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Anyone suffering from any disease, illness or injury should consult with a physician. THESE SUGGESTED USES APPLY ONLY TO THE USE OF THERAPEUTIC GRADE, YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS.

The Essential 7 Kit was created by Young Living Essential Oils (YLEO) so that anyone could immediately use and appreciate the benefits of therapeutic-grade essential oils. The Kit contains three single oils: Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Lemon (Citrus limon) and Peppermint (Mentha piperita), and four oil blends: Joy, PanAway, Peace & Calming and Purification.

All single oils may be used as dietary supplements.

All of the oils may by diffused. The diffuser from YLEO is a special air pump that is custom designed to disperse the oils in a microfiber vapor. This allows the oils to stay suspended in the air to reduce bacteria, fungi and mold. It also freshens the air with natural fragrances, eliminating the need for synthetic, harmful air fresheners. The diffuser disperses the oils without heat, which could render the essential oils less effective.

All of the oils can be applied to the Vita Flex points on the feet, added to bath water mixed with YLEO’s Bath Gel Base, applied topically or used with body and foot massage.

PLEASE CAREFULLY READ AND FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES FOR THE SAFE USE OF YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS INCLUDED AT THE END OF THIS HANDOUT.

1. Always keep a bottle of V-6 Vegetable Mixing Oil, Massage Oil Base or any pure vegetable oil handy when using essential oils. Vegetable oils (not water) dilute essential oils if they cause discomfort or skin irritation. If any oil from your fingers gets into your eyes, put a drop or two of vegetable oil in your eye to reduce burning, please don’t use water!
2. Keep bottles of essential oils tightly closed and store them in a cool location away from light. If they’re left in a hot car, make sure to let the oil come back to room temperature before opening. If stored properly, essential oils will maintain their potency for many years.
3. Keep essential oils out of reach of children. Treat them as you would any product for therapeutic use.
4. Do not use essential oils rich in menthol (such as peppermint) on the throat or neck area of children under 30 months of age.
5. Direct sunlight and essential oils. Lemon, bergamot, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, White Angelica, Joy and other citrus oils may cause a rash or darker pigmentation if applied to skin exposed to direct sunlight or UV rays with 3 to 4 days of use.

Di-Gize Essential Oil Blend for Over-Stuffed Tummies

I had such a nice day yesterday! Thanksgiving is my most favorite holiday :) I spent the afternoon at my parents house and then we went to our friend's house for after dinner drinks and fun.

I ate so much food, I was stuffed! I used Di-Gize essential oil blend to help my belly digest all that good food. Just rub 1-2 drops on your belly whenever you feel full, bloated, nauseous, crampy, etc and it works within minutes. Di-Gize blend contains Tarragon, ginger, peppermint, juniper, fennel, lemongrass, anise, and patchouli.

All good for aiding proper digestion. Much better than taking the "pink" stuff...

Backache cured with Deep Relief Essential Oil Roll-on

Last Sunday, I spent all day playing in my garden. Digging up old plants, planting new ones, re-mulching, trimming back, re-potting all of my orchids, etc. October is gardening time in South Florida since we're approaching the "cooler" weather, finally! It's been a hot hot hot summer!
Anyway, that evening, my lower back was so sore. I used my Deep Relief essential oil roll-on all over my lower back then I crawled into bed with a heating pad to drive the oils in. With some loving help from my master-healer kitty Max, I woke up Monday morning feeling totally fine. I've used Deep Relief for headaches and general tension but never for backaches before. I'm loving this new blend from Young Living more and more!

Peppermint Essential Oil for Attending Seminars - How to Stay Awake!

Last weekend, I coordinated a Healing Touch for Animals (HTA) Level 1 workshop here in Palm Beach, FL. It's a 2 1/2 day intensive workshop where we learn energy medicine techniques to help heal our animal friends. If you're interested in learning HTA view the website at www.healingtouchforanimals.com and find a Level 1 workshop near you.

For me, attending intensive workshops can be physically and mentally draining. Even though the content of this workshop was awesome, I still found myself sleepy especially after lunch. To wake up and help with concentration, I used 1 drop of peppermint essential oil on my temples whenever I felt sleepy. The peppermint essential oil helped perk me up and focus my attention on the material being presented. Research has shown that using peppermint essential oil increases concentration by 28%!

Essential Oils and Smoky Rock Clubs

What could essential oils and smoky rock clubs possibly have in common? Well, if you're like me and carry your essential oils with you where ever you go, they will really come in handy in 'stinky' situations! Read on to find out...

Last weekend me and a couple of my gal pals went to my hubby's 80's rock show. He plays the drums in an 80's cover band, called Metalucious. The band dresses up in 80's rock garb and they put on an awesome performance! It's hilarious! Since I'm a rocker-chick at heart, I had a blast! Here's me and my gal pal Kelli.

I love 80's music and watching these guys is like taking a time warp back to 1985! Here's a pic of the lead singer...Glamor "Russ" If you look closely, you can see my hubby on the drums in the back!

Hubby Jim on the drums!

One more...I couldn't resist adding this one!

However, if you've ever been to a rock club, you'll leave smelling like an ash tray...yuck. A great way to get your hair smelling fresh and clean until you get into the shower is to rub 3 drops of Purification essential oil into your palms and comb your fingers though your hair. It works like a charm! Purification essential oil was formulated to neutralize smoke and odors. Also, it works great in your home to kill viruses, bacteria and mold via diffusion.

Ever had one of those days that you feel 'all over the place'? Well, that was my morning...I had so much to do and couldn't quite seem to get it together! I took out my Grounding essential oil blend and rubbed a few drops all over my feet and neck. Within a few minutes I was able to slow down and organize my thoughts. Deep Relief Roll-On for Migraine Headache

I almost never get headaches, but when I do, they usually linger for a couple of days. They affect the right side of my head from the base of my skull to my eye, like a dagger going through my head! Not fun! Anyway, I heard through the grapevine that Deep Relief Essential Oil Roll-On from Young Living was good for headaches, so today I thought I'd give it a shot. Well, it worked! It's an essential oil blend containing peppermint, lemon, balsam fir, copal, clove, wintergreen, helichrysum and vetiver essential oils. It's in a roll-on bottle, so the application is self explanatory. I just rolled it all over my neck and temples. It gives a cool, tingling feeling that feels great when you have a headache.

Lemon Essential Oil Stops Bleeding

As I opened up the front door of the bank today, the door went right over the top of my foot! Yee-OUCH! Needless to say, I didn't make it into the bank. I limped straight back to my car and dug out my oil bag and wondered for a second which oil would work best for my bleeding, throbbing foot. I choose lemon essential oil, only because I know it has high anti-microbial properties and who knows whats growing on the bottom of that door! My foot was bleeding and very painful. I decided to go through the drive-thru and doctor my wound while I was waiting. I quickly dropped 1 drop of lemon essential oil on the wound and then used a tissue for compression to stop the bleeding. The bleeding stopped within minutes. After my transaction at the bank, I was able to go to publix and do some food shopping without worrying about oozing blood all over my sandal. And the lemon essential oil doesn't sting at all! I've never used it for a wound, but now I know I can :)

Beat the Sniffles with RC Essential Oil Blend

Ugh...I've got a cold...but thank god that I have some RC to clear up my sinuses. It works like magic. Ahhh, relief :) I've been swabbing RC inside my nose all day long and of course diffusing thieves in my home. So nice to use natural medicine instead of the over-the-counter stuff that makes you all goofy-feeling!

Here's how to use RC for a stuffy nose - Take a q-tip and put a drop of RC on each end. Swab the inside of your nostrils with each end, not being afraid to get up in there! The relief is almost immediate and your cold won't turn into an awful sinus infection, as some do. The essential oils in the RC blend are anti-microbial and highly effective in killing viruses. They consist of several eucalyptus oils along with myrtle, pine, spruce, marjoram, lavender, cypress, and peppermint.

Menstural Cramps GONE with Sclaressence Essential Oil Blend

Works like a charm every month! I have no need to take advil anymore. I'm always so surprised that this essential oil blend completely erases my cramps. This awesome blend contains Clary Sage, Peppermint, Fennel and Spanish Sage. These four oils contain natural phytoestrogens, which decrease cramping and regulate hormones. This blend would be great for any woman who really suffers during "that time of the month."

Rub 1-3 drops on lower belly as soon as you feel the slightest bit of cramping. Keep reapplying throughout the day as needed. Kiss your cramps goodbye!

My Aroma "therapeutic" Cleaning Spree

I just wanted to report in about my cleaning spree tonight! Yeah, really interesting right? Well, I used so many different essential oils instead of "regular" cleaning products...my house smells soooo good :) Thieves and lavender on the floors, thieves cleaner on all counter tops and bathrooms, lemon in the bath tub and toilets and purification in the vacuum! It's like a fresh, natural, fragrant garden in here. I love it. And I got some health benefits to boot! Geez...to think people actually use chemicals to clean with...it's totally unnecessary.

Tip: Put 3 drops of Purification essential oil blend from Young Living on a tissue and vacuum it up. Your vacuum cleaner will then diffuse the scent throughout your house and kill the germs that get sucked up.

Essential Oils for Speedy Recovery from Hip Surgery

I wanted to post this testimonial of what happened with my 94 year old grandmother (Nanny). About 2 months ago Nanny fractured her hip. Long story short, she had to have surgery to repair the break, including an 8 inch rod half way down her femur. Anyway, from day 1, I would visit her in the hospital (then the rebab) and put essential oils all over her feet using vita-flex techniques. It's now been 2 months since the incident and although she has some stiffness, she's scooting around in her walker surprisingly well. At 94, to go through a major surgery and 2 months later be 85% back to normal, that's pretty awesome! And of course I'm basing her speedy recovery on the use of essential oils and the love of her family. Here's what I put on her feet everyday...Wintergreen, AromaSiez, PanAway and Lavender. The first 3 helped heal her bones and muscles, while lavender helped ease her anxiety. So thankful for my natural medicine~

Here we are at breakfast at the rehab...isn't she cute?

Brain Power Essential Oil Blend for Writers Block

So I'm still getting the content together for my website. I had no idea that I knew so much! I love getting my thoughts down on paper (or computer screen.) Occasionally,I'm infected with writers block and have to remove myself from my office and watch some tv or play with my cats. Today however, I used some Brain Power essential oil right under my nose whenever I got one of those "blank" moments, and honestly, today was my MOST productive day! I came up with so many new ideas and plans for my website! I'm so excited :) Anyway, the moral of my story is...Brain Power essential oil definitely gives you some serious brain power!

Advanced Muscle Anatomy Class

This past week I was lucky enough to be chosen to attend an Advanced Muscle Anatomy class taught by anatomy guru, Jack Sabinski, LMT. It was a great class and I learned so much. Thanks Jack! Here are some pictures of our workshop. (Thanks to this workshop, I have a great idea for a future issue of my weekly ezine...Essential Oils for Muscle Pain...hint - AromaSiez)

Here's your's truly posing with my ever-so-sexy model who just got lip injections..LOL

Getting a good psoas stretch from Jack...I love being the demo body :)

My team here! Florentina me and Daisy. Did I mention that we won the muscle sculpting competition and we are all getting free treatments from The Breakers Spa! Woohoo!

My other class buds - Kristine, Jenny and Steven and their "rebel rocker" model Sanchez!

Get a bunch of LMT's together in one room and we get a little silly with the clay building. All of a sudden our "models" just came to life!

Anyway, this class was definitely an in depth study of muscles. My massage clients will be happy I attended this one, I learned so much! And a big thanks to Steven who brought the camera!

Peppermint Essential Oil for Insect Bites

This is a little discovery I made yesterday. I was bit by "something" on two places on my ankle. Usually, I'd itch and itch and itch and it would take forever to heal. Well, I put 1 drop of peppermint oil on the bites as soon as they started itching. The peppermint oil took ALL of the itch out INSTANTLY and also healed the bites in just a couple of days! Peppermint essential oil from Young Living is way better than any other anti-itch medication out there! It's also good for loads of other issues which I will be sharing in my future posts :)

A HOT Day Calls for Peppermint Water

So this is my view from my "office" (which is the bungalow's for the summer). It's an absolutely gorgeous view and it's awesome to see the ocean as I'm working. I'm so lucky! Today was exceptionally HOT! So I decided to make some Peppermint waters for everyone. It gives the water a cooling, refreshing flavor, and peppermint helps to cool your body off. Everybody loved them! To make your own Peppermint water get 1 gallon of water and add 1 drop (yes, only 1 drop) then shake well and pour over ice. Enjoy!

Missing my Man...

Is there an essential oil for that??? Jim's out in Texas this weekend hanging with the who's who of the rock n roll world...lucky guy. I did send him off with some Magnify Your Purpose oil. He likes that one because it has a very masculine fragrance. Hopefully it will work some magic... Here's a pic of his "view" from backstage as the headlining band is performing! Upset Tummy-Di-Gize Essential Oil Blend to the Rescue

I rarely, if ever, feel nauseous...but this morning I woke up and my stomach felt really uneasy. I ate some toast and it didn't go away. Then the light bulb went off and I rubbed 3 drops of Di-Gize on my belly and 5 minutes later I felt completely normal. I highly dislike feeling sick and I'm so grateful to have my natural medicine (essential oils) on hand whenever I feel less that 100%.

Sammie, Jim and Frankincence Essential Oil

At about 4am this morning, our ever-so-sweet cat Sammie (shown above), who sleeps religiously between our pillows every night, decided to run across Jim's face! Not fun! Poor Jim, he has a long scratch down his cheek and it was bleeding like crazy! We are guessing that Sammie was startled at something and took off, using Jim's face as the spring board! Anyway, Jim washed it out and we immediately used 1 drop of Frankincense essential oil on it to cleanse, heal and protect the wound. I'm expecting Jim to make a speedy recovery, without a trace of scarring! Maybe I should use some Lavender essential oil on Sammie tonight so we don't have a repeat event!

Stuffy Nose...Lavender Essential Oil to the Rescue

This morning I woke up with a stuffy nose. I don't think it's a cold, I think it's allergies. I just put some Lavender on my cheeks and my forehead. I can feel it working already! I'm off to the park to do my 30 minute jog. I'm going to try to make it 40 minutes today. I've been doing 30 minutes for the last 6 months. I think it's about time I pushed myself a little! I really have seen some great results. And jogging gives me a magical "thinking cap." I get a lot of new ideas when I jog. Anyway, I'm off to the park and then to work later this afternoon.

I BELIEVE I can do this!

Day 1 of drafting the content of my website and I must say that I'm making some serious headway! Thanks to Believe essential oil blend..and a smidgen of Highest Potential! I'm putting Believe over my heart, because deep down, I know I can do this...
Highest Potential is bringing about MY highest potential for being creative and clear for expressing myself with ease...

Some Clarity Essential Oil Blend for my Vacation

AHH, the first day of vacation! I'm so happy that I am able to have some time off! I plan on getting down to the nitty-gritty with my website and finishing the content. I know it's a work in progress, but when I set my mind to something, I always go full force until it's completed! Thank God that I have a bottle of Clarity essential oil on hand! It works so good with getting the creativity flowing, especially when I hit the proverbial "wall." I have been using Clarity a lot lately as I write my weekly newsletters and am getting a great response from my readers. Honestly, I don't know how exactly it works, but it definitely gets the job done! Maybe I should give some to my husband...since he is a songwriter and all!

I Love Abundance Essential Oil Blend

My husband is going to be a rock star and I owe it all to Abundance oil! I've been diffusing it for a few weeks now and the other day he went to a concert and was hanging with the "who's-who" of the rock world... like REALLY hanging out and exchanging phone numbers! I know for a fact that all the diffusing has raised his vibration and he is beginning to attract the right people to him to fulfill his dreams. So, just to be safe, I have Abundance oil on my auto ship...wouldn't want to be without it...lol...our future depends on it :)

Yippee! I've got a BLOG!

How cool is this! I never understood "blogging" until now! I hope to share with many people my stories and adventures. I'm presently working on getting my professional website up and running. Hopefully it will be done in a few weeks. Anyway, I just wanted to try this out so now I'm off to my cozy bed with some Peace & Calming to settle me down!
